Acoustic Research Labs

Acoustic Research Labs (ARL) was established in 1990 with the objective of developing, servicing, and maintaining a long-term monitoring system for structural vibration and environmental noise. This system was utilized during the construction of the Governor Macquarie and Governor Phillip Towers in Sydney's CBD. The two-year monitoring program was primarily instituted to safeguard the structural integrity of several fragile, heritage-listed buildings located around the construction site.
